THE ASSOCIATION OF PERFORMANCE DRIVING INSTRUCTORS

Sean Edwards

On 15 October 2013 our friend and colleague, professional racing driver Sean Edwards was tragically killed at a little-known circuit in eastern Australia. His death may have been avoided had more staunch safety procedures been followed.

The Sean Edwards Foundation has launched a new campaign to lobby for, implemenT and promote a number of essential driver and track safety initiatives, as well as a sea change in general attitudes.

Sean was stringent on the subject of driver safety when coaching, but he still paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is the re-setting of drivers’ attitudes towards their racing and coaching that now motivates SEF in its campaign for greater appreciation of personal safety and responsibility.
